A travel blog of my mid life gap year

In 2023 I decided I wanted a change. Despite loving my job I didn't want to wait out till retirement going to work everyday without having considered what else the world had to offer.  I have always loved travel but had never had the opportunity to take a gap year and to take travel at a different pace.  The decision was made but lots had to happen to make it a reality.  So it 2024 I sold my house and downsized to a flat. This year I gave up my job, and I'm leaving Flo, the worlds cutest cat, in the care of my nephew.

I am using this blog to keep in touch with friends, especially those who don't use social media, as a way to keep a diary for future memories.  It is also giving me the chance to learn a new skill of building a website, do feel free to give feedback, I'm learning as I go.
