Countdown to Adventure: Three Days to Go!

After more than two years of planning, it’s finally happening – in just three days, I’ll be off on my big adventure!

I wrapped up work over a week ago, and I’ll admit, it still feels strange not checking my emails every five minutes. But don’t think I’ve been lounging around – trip prep has kept me busier than ever.

The journey kicks off with one night in Bangkok, then it’s straight onto the sleeper train to Vientiane in Laos. It’ll be my second time in Laos, but the first for Mark, who’s joining me for the first three weeks. After that, it’s Christmas and New Year with Estelle and Scott in Australia – the perfect way to celebrate!

This is just the start of what I hope will be many adventures. My main goals? Well, as always, I’ll be continuing my mission to have a massage in every country I visit (though hopefully nothing as brutal and freezing as that infamous Austrian massage back in 2010!).

Food will be a big theme, along with plenty of hiking, biking, and hopefully some kayaking or rowing. And fingers crossed for some amazing wildlife encounters along the way.
